cocktail sauce
Here is my version of the very popular Cocktail Sauce usually served with boiled shrimp. I think it's amazing and may have to make this in larger batches.

1 serving(s)
Ingredients
- 6 tablespoons ketchup
- 1 teaspoon dark brown sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon dry mustard
- 1 - 2 tablespoons creamy horseradish (to taste)
- 1/2 teaspoon worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 teaspoon lemon juice (or more to taste)
- dash hot sauce (red tobasco)
How To Make cocktail sauce
-
Step 1In a small bowl combine all of the ingredients and mix well to make sure there are no lumps from the dried mustard. Start with 1 Tbsp horseradish then taste and add more if needed.
-
Step 2Chill in refrigerator - will last several weeks.
-
Step 3Use this in place of bottled Cocktail Sauce and always serve this with fried or boiled shrimp, raw or fried oysters, fried fish, etc.
