Sauce Essentials: Versatile Creamy Avocado Sauce

This is a very easy recipe to assemble, and tastes oh so yummy. I have served it as a dressing over a bunch of rocket, as a spread on a BLT; even as a dip for some veggies. So, you ready… Let’s get into the kitchen.

Ingredients

  • PLAN/PURCHASE
  • 1 large
    hass avocado, ripe
  • 1/2 c
    fresh cilantro, just the leaves
  • 3 clove
    baked garlic, not raw
  • 1 large
    lime just the juice, about 2 - 3 tablespoons
  • 1/4 c
    olive oil, extra virgin
  • 1/4 c
    filtered water
  • 1 tsp
    salt, kosher variety, or to taste
  • 1/2 Tbsp
    white pepper, freshly ground, or to taste

How To Make

    Gather your Ingredients (mise en place).

    Add all the ingredients to a food processor, fitted with an S-blade.

    Chef’s Note: You could just as easily use a blender.

    Use a few 1-second pulses to get the process started, and then blend until smooth.

    Store in the fridge in a glass container, until needed.

    Chef’s Note: Depending on what you are using this sauce for, you might need to add a bit of water to achieve the desired consistency.
