Ingredients
- 4 cups pomegranate juice, bottled or fresh
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice
How To Make pomegranate molasses
-
Step 1In a 4-quart pot over medium-high, combine all the ingredients. Stir the mixture until the sugar is completely dissolved. Bring the mixture to a boil and then reduce heat to medium-low or medium as long as the mixture is gently simmering for about 1 hour or until it has a “syrupy” consistency, coating the back of the spoon.
-
Step 2Transfer to an airtight container and let it cool completely before closing (the molasses will thicken as it cool off).
