my secret (well not anymore!) ham glaze
I have had this recipe in my personal Arsenal for years and years. It actually came to me from my husband (wasn't his, he does not cook). He has no idea where it came from. My daddy loved this glaze. And I mean LOVED it (tearing up now) but we would never tell him what was in it because he hated horseradish (bad experience with a baked potato!). But he requested ham steaks with glaze all the time. My mom and I would just chuckle and keep on cooking. Enjoy!

How To Make my secret (well not anymore!) ham glaze
-
Step 1Put all ingredients into a saucepan. Mix and heat to boiling. Stir constantly...DONT WALK AWAY! Cook until reduced and slightly thickened.
-
Step 2Use as a glaze for ham steaks or whole ham. You may need to double the recipe if using for a whole ham or many steaks. I usually double anyway because we also like it for dipping or for a nice drizzle after plating.
-
Step 3Whew! Okay...what a difficult recipe huh? Maybe that was part of the secret. ;-) Try it and I hope you like it.
