  • 3 1/2 cups heavy cream
  • 3 tablespoons grated parmesan cheese
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 tablespoons onion or shallot minchd
  • 3 tablespoons butter unsalted
  • 1/2 teaspoon each salt and pepper

How To Make low carb alfredo sauce

  • Step 1
    Melt butter in a saucepan and saute onion or shallot over medium heat until translucent, heat and add garlic, saute 1 minute
  • Step 2
    Add remaining ingredients, cover and simmer over low heat for 20 to 30 minutes
  • Step 3
    Approximately 28 carbohydrates total; 4 servings,7 carbohydrates each
