  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 - onion finely choped
  • 1/2 - green bell pepper
  • 2 teaspoons garlic minced
  • 2 cups catsup
  • 1/2 cup molasses
  • 2 teaspoons hot sauce
  • 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
  • 1/4 cup prepared yellow mustard
  • 1 cup dark brown sugar packed
  • 4 tablespoons worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon liquid smoke flavoring
  • 1/4 cup lemon juice

  • Step 1
    Place oil in a large non-aluminum saucepan over medium-low heat. Add onion, bell pepper, and garlic. Lightly saute until translucent.
  • Step 2
    Add the rest of the ingredients and simmer for about 10 or 15 minutes.
