This is so good! I've been making this for years! It's a very basic recipe, and I'm sure I'm not the only one to make applesauce this way. We love it!

mcintosh apples
1/4 c

1/2 c

1 tsp
cinnamon

How to Make Homemade Applesauce

Step-by-Step

  • 1Peel, seed, and slice the apples.
Place in a saucepan with the rest of the ingredients.
  • 2Bring to a boil.

Lower heat, cover and simmer for about 20 to 30 minutes, or until desired consistency.
  • 3We like ours a little on the chunky side, so I mash a bit with the potato masher.
    Enjoy!!!
  • 4(This was really the best when we picked the apples right off our own apple tree!)
