(Lately, I've been using less cinnamon in my recipe, I've cut back to 1/4 tsp, it's even delicious without it too!)
How to Make Homemade Applesauce
- Peel, seed, and slice the apples.
Place in a saucepan with the rest of the ingredients.
- Bring to a boil.
Lower heat, cover and simmer for about 20 to 30 minutes, or until desired consistency.
- We like ours a little on the chunky side, so I mash a bit with the potato masher.
- (This was really the best when we picked the apples right off our own apple tree!)
