Ingredients
- 6 medium apples, peeled, cored and cut into 1/4-inch wedges
- 1/2 cup water
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 stick cinnamon (or 1/8 teaspoon ground)
- 1 - 4-inch strip lemon peel
How To Make applesauce (pressure cooker)

Step 1In a 6 quart stovetop pressure cooker, combine all ingredients. Lock lid in place.

Step 2Bring to high pressure over high heat. Immediately remove from heat and quick-release pressure.

Step 3Open lid. Discard cinnamon stick (if using) and lemon peel.

Step 4Stir to break up apple pieces. Return to heat, uncovered, until applesauce is desired consistency.
