This is Chef Daniel Orr's recipe posted in the Indiana Public Media. He calls it 24/7 because you can use it all day long. Says you should try it on your hot cereal with raisins and milk and on your strawberriflambémbe at dinner. He says it accents both the sweet and savory in everything it touches.And that it is great on meat, fish, vegetables-everything!

Ingredients

  • 3 tablespoons coriander seed
  • 2 - pieces star anise
  • 1 tablespoon fennel seed
  • 2 teaspoons mustard seeds
  • 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
  • 1 teaspoon ginger powder
  • 1/2 stick cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon black peppercorns, whole
  • 1 teaspoon white peppercorns, whole
  • 3 - dried bay leaves
  • 1/2 teaspoon whole mace

    Grind all ingredients in a spice grinder. Store in an airtight container in a cool. dark place.
