I was looking for some new food to try on Superbowl Sunday. My husband loves jalepeno poppers, so I tried to combine all those flavors.

Ingredients

  • 16 ounces cream cheese, room temperature
  • 1/2 cup chirizo (cooked)
  • 16 ounces shredded monterey jack cheese
  • 1 cup mayonaisse
  • 4 ounces chopped green chilies
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin
  • 4-5 - jalpeno peppers - seeded and chopped
  • 1/2 cup bread crumbs
  • 1/4 cup parmesan cheese

How To Make jalepeno popper dip with a kick!

  • Step 1
    In a large mixing bowl combine softened cream cheese and mayonnaise.
  • Step 2
    Add cooked and drained chorizo to cream cheese and mayo mixture.
  • Step 3
    Add chopped chilies with juice, chopped & seeded jalapeños, and cumin. Mix to combine.
  • Step 4
    Add shredded Monterey jack cheese. Mix to combine. Add half the cheese and mix and then add the other half and stir to combine.
  • Step 5
    Pour mixture into baking dish such as a pie plate or a corning ware dish
  • Step 6
    Mix bread crumbs and jalapeños together in a small bowl.
  • Step 7
    Top with bread crumb mixture.
  • Step 8
    Bake at 375 for about 20 minutes. You may want to put baking dish on a cookie sheet in case of cheeses bubbling over.
