How to Make Homemade Sourcream
- Pour into bowl-1 cup of half and half. $1.18 at walmart for a pint size.
- Before hand you will need to purchase a quart of buttermilk and fill up one ice tray with buttermilk to freeze into cubes.Then pop out and put into a good freezer baggie.
- Now to your one cup of half and half add 2 ice cubes just as they are.Let this bowl sit out on the counter top for two days,can swish around bowl.The buttermilk acid keeps spoilage away so don,t worry!
- You do have to keep a clean dish towel covering this.After two days-guess what you have made?Beautiful sour cream.And you do not have to order cultures to make it.I have studied this out for you and done the work and will post a picture.That has been stirred up.Wish I would not have stirred up until after picture but alas I did.
