Ingredients

  • 4 cups cabbage, thinly sliced
  • 1/4 cup fresh lime juice
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups tomatoes, diced
  • 1/2 cup yellow onion, diced
  • 1/2 cup cilantro, chopped
  • 1 large jalapeno pepper, diced
  • 1 large ripe avocado, diced

How To Make repello (nicaraguan cabbage slaw)

  • Step 1
    Place the sliced cabbage in a large bowl. Add lime juice and salt; toss to coat.
  • Step 2
    Add diced tomatoes, onion, cilantro, jalapenos and mix.
  • Step 3
    Gently fold in diced avocados. Serve immediately or refrigerate.
