My husband was served a corn salad as a side dish at a restaurant in Kona, Hawaii. He quickly decided he was going to re-create this at home. He nailed it, even better than the restaurant! It has so many flavors and has a tropical touch!

Ingredients

  • 3
    corn on the cobs
  • 1
    maui sweet onion, diced
  • 1
    red pepper, diced
  • 1 small
    canned pineapple, diced
  • ·
    teriyaki sauce
  • ·
    steak seasoning, to taste
  • ·
    chili powder, to taste
  • 1
    avocado, diced
  • ·
    cilantro, fresh

How to Make Johnny's Aloha Corn Salad

Step-by-Step

  1. Slice corn off cobs. No pre cooking needed!
  2. Place corn, diced onion, red pepper, pineapple, teriyaki sauce, steak seasoning, chili powder in a pan on BBQ or stove.
  3. When vegetables are cooked, remove from heat and add diced avocado and as much cilantro as you like. Serve.
