An tropical take on an old favourite. Bacon and pineapple give this a great twist.

  • ·
    4 strips of bacon. trimmed and diced.
  • ·
    4 cups thinly sliced cabbage
  • ·
    1 large carrot, grated
  • ·
    2 celery stalks, sliced super fine
  • ·
    2/3 cup firmly packed, well drained pineapple pieces
  • ·
    3 green onions, thinly sliced
  • ·
    1/3 cup, your choice of coleslaw dressing
  • ·
    1/2 teaspoon celery salt

How to Make Betty's Tropical Coleslaw


  1. Heat a non stick pan over a medium heat. Cook the bacon to your liking. Chop into smallish pieces and cool slightly.
  2. Place all the ingredients to a large bowl, stir well and serve.
