asian cabbage salad
The wife of my former boss gave me this recipe years ago. I broke it out earlier this summer for the first time in a long time. I've made it three times this summer. It can be a main dish salad if you cut up and add cooked chicken to it.

Ingredients
- FOR THE SALAD:
- 1 large head of green cabbage
- 1 cup finely chopped celery
- 8 - chopped green onions
- 8 tablespoons toasted, slivered almonds
- 2 packages uncooked ramen noodles broken up
- FOR THE DRESSING:
- 4 tablespoons sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon pepper
- 2 packages ramen noodle seasoning packets
- 2 teaspoons toasted sesame oil
- 1 cup salad oil (aka vegetable oil)
- 6 tablespoons rice vinegar
How To Make asian cabbage salad

Step 1Shred cabbage, chop celery and onion and mix together.

Step 2Toast almonds under broiler or in a frying pan on the stove top and combine with broken up ramen noodles.

Step 3Mix dressing ingredients together.

Step 4Just before serving mix vegetables, almonds, noodles and dressing all together and serve immediately.
