frosted orange salad
My Mother made this for special occasions when I was still at home. Almost forgot about it. However started thinking of special memories and home. Made it for Easter dinner this year.

Ingredients
- DISSOLVE GELATIN IN 2 CUP HOT WATER. DILUTE WITH 2 CUP COLD WATER.
- 1 (8 oz.) box orange gelatin (or flavor of your choice)
- 4 cups water
- 2 medium bananas (sliced)
- 1 (8 oz.) can pineapple, crushed and drained
- SAVE DRAINED PINEAPPLE JUICE
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 2 tablespoons flour
- 1 large egg (beaten)
- 1 cup cool whip
How To Make frosted orange salad

Step 1Assemble Ingredients.

Step 2Use 9 x 9 inch pan

Step 3Put gelatin in the Refrigerator until partially set.

Step 4When Gelain begins to partially set, fold in Sliced bananas and crushed pineapple.

Step 5Allow to completely set up in the Refrigerator.

Step 6Using a small sauce pan, mix sugar and flour. Add enough water to drained pineapple juice to make l cup and stir into mixture in pan.

Step 7Quickly stir in l beaten egg. Cook over low heat, stirring constantly, until mixture thickens. Allow to cool to room temperature.

Step 8Fold in Cool Whip

Step 9Spread frosting on top of gelatin. Let this set up overnight.

Step 10This can be made several days in advance.
