A refreshing salad. If you don't want to make your own balsamic vinaigrette, use your favorite store-bought variety.

Ingredients

  • SALAD
  • 6 cups red leaf lettuce, torn into small pieces (packed cups)
  • 2 cups romain lettuce, torn into small pieces (packed cups)
  • 2 large oranges, peeled and sliced
  • 1/2 cup red onion, sliced thinly
  • 1/3 cup olives (whatever variety you prefer, make sure they're pitted)
  • 1/2-3/4 cup balsamic vinaigrette (store bought brand or make following directions below)
  • DRESSING
  • 1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 1/8 cup honey
  • 1 pinch crushed red pepper flakes
  • salt and pepper, to taste

How To Make spanish red leaf salad w/ balsamic vinaigrette

  • Step 1
    FOR SALAD: Toss all ingredients together, dress with balsamic vinaigrette
  • Step 2
    FOR DRESSING: Put all ingredients in a jar with a tight-fitting lid and shake until well combined. Taste, adjust seasoning.
