Red and Green Garden Salad

If you need a quick and tasty salad, this is the one! In less than 5 minutes this salad is ready to serve. The flavors of the fresh vegetables are perfectly framed by the addition of the Parmesan cheese. It is easy to add diced cooked chicken or turkey to create a delicious lunch. Everyone loves this salad!

  • 5 c
    loosely packed fresh spinach leaves, stems removed and torn
  • 6 medium
    grape tomatoes, halved
  • 2 medium
    ripe avocados, peeled, seeded and coarsely chopped
  • 2 Tbsp
    thinly sliced fresh basil leaves
  • 3 Tbsp
    diced sweet red onion
  • 1/4 c
    shaved parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 c
    bacon ranch salad dressing (or your favorite)

How to Make Red and Green Garden Salad


  1. In a large bowl, toss first six ingredients together. Serve immediately or chill up to 30 minutes before serving time. Just before serving, add dressing and toss to evenly coat. Serves 4.
