This recipe is from my mother-in-law. She makes it for most of the family gatherings and holidays. It is garlicky and delicious.

Ingredients

  • 2 heads - romaine lettuce
  • 2 - tomatoes, sliced, or 1 pint of grape tomatoes
  • 1 - cucumber, peeled & sliced
  • - red wine vinegar
  • - lemon juice
  • - black pepper
  • - crushed garlic
  • 1 package mozzarella cheese, cubed
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 1/4 cup grated pecorino romano cheese

How To Make garlic salad

  • Step 1
    Layer the salad like so: 1/4 of the lettuce, 1/4 of the cucumber, 1/4 of the tomatoes, and seasoning (which is a dash of red vinegar, dash of lemon juice, black pepper, and about 1 of crushed garlic). Repeat until all the ingredients are used. Refrigerate until serving.
  • Step 2
    Right before serving, toss the salad with the olive oil and cheeses.
