Garlic Salad

This recipe is from my mother-in-law. She makes it for most of the family gatherings and holidays. It is garlicky and delicious.

  • 2 heads
    romaine lettuce
  • 2
    tomatoes, sliced, or 1 pint of grape tomatoes
  • 1
    cucumber, peeled & sliced
  • ·
    red wine vinegar
  • ·
    lemon juice
  • ·
    black pepper
  • ·
    crushed garlic
  • 1 pkg
    mozzarella cheese, cubed
  • 1/4 c
    olive oil
  • 1/4 c
    grated pecorino romano cheese

How to Make Garlic Salad


  1. Layer the salad like so: 1/4 of the lettuce, 1/4 of the cucumber, 1/4 of the tomatoes, and seasoning (which is a dash of red vinegar, dash of lemon juice, black pepper, and about 1 of crushed garlic). Repeat until all the ingredients are used. Refrigerate until serving.
  2. Right before serving, toss the salad with the olive oil and cheeses.
