poppyseed fruit salad
An easy way to dress up fruit salad. I've also made fruit kabobs this way, which is pretty to take to parties. I get whatever fruit is in season & on sale! :) This dressing makes more than you need for the salad, but I love it & use it on sandwiches, greens, etc.

Ingredients
- 8 - cups fresh fruit (approximately)
- 1/3 - cup white sugar
- 1/2 - cup vinegar (white wine, apple cider or raspberry)
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup canola oil
- 1 teaspoon onion
- 1 tablespoon (heaping) poppyseeds
How To Make poppyseed fruit salad
-
Step 1Blend the sugar, vinegar, salt & onion. Slowly pour in the oil & blend together. Then add the poppyseeds.
-
Step 2Slowly pour over the fruit, stirring gently, until you have the amount of dressing you want. I usually use less than half of the dressing, as it gives it a lovely zing, but not overpowering the natural fruit flavors.

Step 3Serve & enjoy!
