holiday fruit salad
This salad goes very well with Thanksgiving and Christmas dinner. The first time I made this I wasn't sure how it would be perceived by my family. But the combinations of the sour cream and cream cheese went so well with the sweet jello. Give it a try..it really is good!

Ingredients
- 3 packages ( 3 ounces each) strawberry flavored jello
- 3 cups boiling water
- 2 - ripe, bananas
- 1 package ( 16 ounces) frozen strawberries
- 1 can ( 20 ounces) crushed pineapple in juice
- 1 package ( 8 ounce) cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup sour cream or plain yogurt
- 1/4 cup sugar

Step 1Gather ingredients and 9 x 13 pan.

Step 2In a large bowl, dissolve gelatin in boiling water into gelatin mixture. Slice bananas into gelatin mixture. Add frozen strawberries and undrained pineapple.

Step 3Pour half the mixture into 13 x 9 inch pan. Refrigerate 1 hour or until firm.

Step 4In a mixer bowl, beat cream cheese with sour cream and sugar; spread over chilled layer, Gently spoon remaining gelatin mixture on top. Refrigerate until firm, about 2 hours. Cut into squares; serve on lettuce lined salad plates. Garnish with additional pineapple, if desired.
