crown jello salad with fluff dressing

This is a molded version of a Waldorf Salad made with jello and a fluffy dressing. This is especially good now that the weather will not let us get a breath of cool air. Very refreshing with a crunch that melts in your mouth as you savoy the crunch. A family friendly dessert/salad.

Ingredients

  • JELLO SALAD:
  • 6 ounces pkg. strawberry jello or your favorite
  • 2 cups boiling water
  • 1 1/2 cups ginger ale or cold water or fruit juice
  • 1 cup chopped apple
  • 1/2 cup thin celery slices
  • 1/4 cup chopped walnuts
  • FLUFFY DRESSING:
  • 1 cup dairy sour cream
  • 1/2 cup salad dressing or mayonnaise
  • 1 1/2 cups mini marshmallows

How To Make crown jello salad with fluff dressing

  • Step 1
    Jello: Dissolve jello in boiling water; add cold liquid. Chill until partially set; fold in apples, celery and nuts. Pour into 4 1/2 cup mold; chill until firm. Unmold; fill center with Fluffy Dressing.
  • Step 2
    Fluffy Dressing: Combine sour cream and salad dressing; mix well. Fold in marshmallows. Fill center of jello salad. Decorate top with sliced apple -arrange in star form and trim serving plate with more apple slices if desired. --- Note: This Dressing is great on many other desserts and salads.
