I like to add a new dish every year to the Thanksgiving table. Some become highly requested repeats and some are never seen or heard from again. My sister-in-law suggested this one. This refreshing treat is in the first category. A little tangy, a little sweet and lots of crunch. Now it's on the table for Thanksgiving and Christmas. I hope you like it as well as my family does.

Ingredients For cranberry salad

  • 20 oz
    cranberries, fresh (or 2 bags)
  • 5 c
    grapes, seedless, red (or 1 big bag)
  • 3 c
    sugar
  • 2 c
    heavy cream
  • 1
    orange zest

How To Make cranberry salad

  • 1
    Crush/chop fresh cranberries
  • 2
    Combine with sugar
  • 3
    Let stand, drain overnight. Discard juice.
  • 4
    Slice grapes in half, add to cranberry/sugar mixture. Zest orange, add to mixture
  • 5
    Whip cream until stiff peaks form. fold wiped cream into cranberry mixture. Refrigerate one hour.
