Swingset Trellis

Joey Wolf

This is crafted from my childhood swingset. My older sister had refurbished it for her kids, after we out grew it, then again for a porch swing for her yard. After a storm had destroyed her swing, she just wanted to get rid of it. She was tired of trimming around it. When no one else wanted it, I talked my hubby into bringing it home for me. :0)

1x4's, the width determined by your swingset
  • 1
roll of snowfence, (we used the smaller weave)
  • 1 pkg
    large zip ties

How to Make Swingset Trellis

  1. Set swingset up in garden, we will try a east-west facing next time, the beans on the north side didn't do as well.
  2. Attach the 1x4's to the swingset with zip ties. We placed one on each side at the bottom, and 2-3 more, mid-way up the swingset.
  3. We unrolled the snowfence over the swingset, attaching it to the frame and crosspieces with zip ties. TA DA!
  4. Plant pole beans, climbing flowers etc......
