  • 3/4 c
fresh plantain (see photo if you don't know what it looks like)
  • 1 c
    sunflower, almond, or coconut oil
  • 1/2 c
    fresh sage

    grated beeswax
  • 1 Tbsp
    honey

How To Make green salve

  • 1
Chop the herbs (doesn't need to be too fine) and put in a double boiler (or I use one of those small crock pots) with the oil.
  • 2
Heat on low for two hours.
  • 3
Cool, then strain through several layers of cheesecloth until you've removed most of the plant bits.
  • 4
Put it back in double boiler or crock pot, and add the beeswax and honey. Melt together.
  • 5
Cool again. Before it becomes solid, pour into a clean jar.
