3/4 c
fresh plantain (see photo if you don't know what it looks like)
1 c
sunflower, almond, or coconut oil
1/2 c
fresh sage
3 Tbsp
grated beeswax
1 Tbsp

How to Make green salve


  • 1Chop the herbs (doesn't need to be too fine) and put in a double boiler (or I use one of those small crock pots) with the oil.
  • 2Heat on low for two hours.
  • 3Cool, then strain through several layers of cheesecloth until you've removed most of the plant bits.
  • 4Put it back in double boiler or crock pot, and add the beeswax and honey.
    Melt together.
  • 5Cool again.
    Before it becomes solid, pour into a clean jar.
