Ingredients
- 3/4 cup fresh plantain (see photo if you don't know what it looks like)
- 1 cup sunflower, almond, or coconut oil
- 1/2 cup fresh sage
- 3 tablespoons grated beeswax
- 1 tablespoon honey
How To Make green salve
-
Step 1Chop the herbs (doesn't need to be too fine) and put in a double boiler (or I use one of those small crock pots) with the oil.
-
Step 2Heat on low for two hours.
-
Step 3Cool, then strain through several layers of cheesecloth until you've removed most of the plant bits.
-
Step 4Put it back in double boiler or crock pot, and add the beeswax and honey. Melt together.
-
Step 5Cool again. Before it becomes solid, pour into a clean jar.
