Get in and out of the kitchen quick -- this recipe is fun and easy! Just lay out the toppings, and everyone builds their own, even the kids. Yep, you're a genius ;)

Ingredients

  • 2 cups turkey, cooked, diced
  • 2 cups bean sprouts
  • 1 cup cooked rice
  • 1 cup chopped celery
  • 1 cup shredded carrot
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 bag lettuce mix
  • - french dressing

How To Make turkey toss

  • Step 1
    Prepare rice according to package instructions, or use leftover rice. Toss cooked rice with soy sauce. Set aside.
  • Step 2
    Chop leftover turkey, or use deli turkey, or brown ground turkey -- use whatever you like. Set aside.
  • Step 3
    Chop the celery and shred the carrot.
  • Step 4
    Put each ingredient in a separate serving bowl.
  • Step 5
    To build the salad: Beginning with lettuce, then turkey, sprouts, rice, celery, and carrot, each person makes their own salad. Or, if you prefer, layer the ingredients in a large serving bowl. Serve with French dressing, or you may wish to offer a selection of favorite dressings.
  • Step 6
    NOTE: This recipe is an Americanized version of the "Tokyo Turkey Toss", or Yee Sang, which is a new year holiday tradition of prosperity.
