Island Turkey Strips

This is a simple and delicious recipe from 1/2 hour meals. It is a combination of tropical flavors. This is a great way to transport to the islands~without leaving home!

2 lb
turkey or chicken breast (cut into thin strips)
14 oz
can of coconut milk
1 Tbsp
dark brown sugar,packed
2 Tbsp
1 large
lemon~juice from
2 Tbsp
balsamic vinegar
1 Tbsp
orange marmalade
1/2 c
cilantro, chopped
1 medium
vine ripe tomato, chopped
1 tsp
1 Tbsp
1/2 tsp
black pepper

How to Make Island Turkey Strips


  • 1Combine all ingredients in zip lock bag , except the turkey breast strips.
    Place turkey strips in the plastic zip-lock bag and marinade for 1 hour or you can do it over night in refrigerator.
  • 2In a large skillet place 3 Tablespoons of olive oil and heat. Let turkey strips drip off excess marinade and place in heated skillet. Do not place too many in pan at once.
  • 3Let turkey strips become golden on one side and turn to the other side to finish cooking; about 3-4 minutes on each side depending on the thickness of the meat strips. Enjoy!! A family pleaser.
