easy, breezy one pot dinner
This is a great, easy dish to prepare for a weeknight dinner, and if you keep most of the ingredients in the house, you don't need a special shopping trip to get what you need. We finished the pan and there was only 2 of us. Some warm bread and glasses of wine pare perfectly with this dish. And clean-up is simple and easy.

Ingredients
- 1 package lean ground turkey (1-1/4) lbs.
- 3 medium yukon gold and red potatoes (3 total) halved and sliced
- 1/2 - red onion sliced
- 5 medium white or brown mushrooms sliced
- 4 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
- 3 tablespoons olive oil, extra virgin, divided
- 1/2 cup red wine (your favorite)
- 1 cup pasta sauce (your favorite)
- 1/2 cup grated parmesean cheese
- SEASONING BLEND
- 2 teaspoons kosher or sea salt
- 1 teaspoon fresh ground black pepper
- 1 tablespoon garlic powder
- 1 tablespoon onion powder
- 2 teaspoons paprika
- 1 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
- 1 teaspoon chopped fresh basil
How To Make easy, breezy one pot dinner

Step 1Gather all of your ingredients, wash and slice and get ready to roll.

Step 2Put the potatoes in a medium bowl, add about 1/4 of the olive oil and 1/3 of the seasoning blend and toss to coat.

Step 3Heat a large frying pan, non-stick, to medium high and add the potatoes. Cover and cook for 5 minutes until they start to brown.

Step 4Add the onions, cover and cook for an additional 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Step 5Sprinkle 1/3 of the seasoning blend on the ground turkey, break up and add to the pan. Add 1/3 of the olive oil, stir to combine, cover and cook an additional 5 minutes.

Step 6In the bowl you used for the potatoes, add the mushrooms, and the remaining olive oil and seasoning blend and toss to coat. Add to the pan, with the red wine, cover and cook 5 more minutes.

Step 7Add the pasta sauce, combine and continue cooking, uncovered, until the sauce is warmed through and the potatoes are tender. Sprinkle on 1/2 of the Parmesan cheese, turn the heat to low and let the cheese melt for a few minutes.

Step 8Remove from the heat, sprinkle on the remaining cheese and serve.
