Ingredients For easy ground beef tacos

  • 1 lb
    ground beef
  • 2 tsp
    chili powder
  • 1 tsp
    ground cumin
  • 1 tsp
    onion powder
  • 1 tsp
    garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp
    salt
  • ground pepper to taste
  • 1 sm
    can green chilis
  • 8
    soft, yellow corn tortillas
  • a few tbsp. canola oil
  • GARNISHES
  • diced tomato
  • chopped or shredded lettuce
  • sliced black olives
  • sour cream or nonfat plain greek yogurt
  • taco sauce
  • sliced green onion
  • diced red or white onion
  • diced avocados or guacamole
  • salsa
  • freshed chopped cilantro

How To Make easy ground beef tacos

    Preheat oven to 170 degrees.

    In a large nonstick skillet heat 2 Tbsp. canola oil. Brown tortillas, but not until completely crisp. Fold tortillas in half and place on rack in 170 degree oven to keep warm until ready to use.

    Brown ground beef in a medium skillet. As the meat is browning, add in cumin, onion powder, garlic powder, and chili powder, salt & pepper and diced green chilis, undrained when meat is browned and flavorful, drain off grease.

    Fill a shell with ground beef and sprinkle with cheese and any other toppings you like.

    Serve with a side of any combination of rice and refried beans or corn
