Ingredients
- 4 slices bread such as french loaf
- 1/2 cup louisiana-style rémoulade sauce
- 6 slices black forest ham
- 1 large ripe avocado, stone removed, peeled and sliced
- 1/2 tablespoon freshly squeezed lime juice
- 8 slices red onion, or to taste
- 2 large hard-boiled eggs, sliced
- 2 slices beefsteak tomato
- 2 slices swiss cheese
- 4 large leaves boston lettuce, washed
- 1/2 cup butter, softened or as needed
How To Make california panini sandwich

Step 1Spread Rémoulade on 4 slices of bread. Place 3 slices ham on 2 slices of bread.

Step 2In a bowl, add sliced avocado and squeeze lime juice. Toss to coat before placing the slices on top of the ham, covering the entire surface.

Step 3Place red onion slices, hard-boiled egg slices, tomato slice, cheese slice and butter lettuce. Place the other slices of bread on top, pressing down to compact and butter the top ones covering the entire surface.

Step 4Place the sandwiches in the panini pan, buttered side down, put the lid on and grill about 4 minutes or until nice and brown.

Step 5Spread the butter evenly, carefully flip the sandwiches, put the lid back on and grill until golden. Serve them immediately.
