This casserole is one of the yummiest dishes I have ever made. The recipe was handed down to my nephews wife from her German Grandmother.

Ingredients

4 c
sauerkraut
1 1/2 lb
bulk pork sausage
1 1/2 lb
pork, ground
16 oz
egg noodles
1 small
yellow onion (chopped)
1 can(s)
cream of celery soup
1 can(s)
cream of chicken soup
6 oz
mushroom pieces
1 tsp
garlic powder

How to Make Sauerkraut Sausage Casserole

Step-by-Step

  • 1In large skillet add meat, onion, mushrooms, and garlic. Salt and Cook till onions are clear and meat is cooked well. Drain excess grease. Salt and pepper to taste.
  • 2In a large sauce pan fill 2/3 full of water. Add salt. When water comes to boil add 1 tsp. oil along with noodles. Cook till noodles are tender.
  • 3In a large baking dish combine meat mixture, noodles, sauerkraut, and soups. Cover and bake in a 350 degree oven for 30 minutes.
