Ingredients
- 4 - 5 pounds pork roast
- about 1 cup hawaiian salt (or rock salt)
- 2-3 bunches lg. ti leaves (or lg. spinach leaves)
- 1 bottle liquid smoke flavoring
How To Make kahlua pork baked
-
Step 1Choose a large 4 - 5 lb. pork butt roast with ample fat. Score the top of the fat, and rub with the Hawaiian salt. Sprinkle generously with the liquid smoke. Wrap securely with the ti leaves. IF you can't find Ti leaves, you can use lg. spinach leaves (to make at least 3 layers), or even cabbage leaves as a last resort (flavor won't be as good).
-
Step 2Tie securely with string, place in roasting pan on a rack add a cup of water in bottom of pan. Cook @ 300 degree oven for at least 4 hrs.
-
Step 3When fully cooked, cut string, and remove ti or spinach leaves. Shred the meat (like Kahlua pig), mixing so fat is well distributed. Serve hot. Enjoy.
