This recipe is from a Weight Watchers mini cookbook called "Fast & Fancy Favorites", A Family Cookbook. This recipe is the first WW recipe I ever tried. This is an older book, so the program exchanges, are probably obsolete. I guess I will list them at the bottom, anyway. Recipe originator: Sharon Broussard

Ingredients

  • 2/3 cup unsweetened pineapple juice, no sugar added
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 8 ounces can pineapple chunks and juice with no sugar added
  • 2 - green peppers, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon mustard
  • 1 - onion, chopped
  • 16 ounces turkey ham, or ham cubed
  • 1/2 cup cooked rice, per serving (optional)

How To Make oriental ham

  • Step 1
    Stir juice, soy sauce, and cornstarch, in a large skillet, until dissolved.
  • Step 2
    Add pineapple, onion, pepper, and turkey ham.
  • Step 3
    Simmer over low heat, until heated through. Divide evenly.
  • Step 4
    Serve over 1/2 cup cooked rice for each serving, if desired (optional).
  • Step 5
    Each serving provides: 4 protein exchgs., 1 1/4 vegetable exchgs., 1 fruit exchg., 1 bread exchg., 10 calories optional exchg.
