Ingredients
- 4 - thick, boneless pork chops
- 2 teaspoons canola oil
- 4 tablespoons light brown sugar
- - salt and pepper to taste
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 1/4 cup apple cider
- 2 large granny smith apples, peeled, cored and diced
How To Make easy saucy, apple- caramel pork chops

Step 1Set oven to broil. In large skillet, over med-high heat, add 2 tsp oil. Season chops w/ salt and pepper. Brown chops on both sides in skillet. Place chops on broiler pan.

Step 2In small bowl, whisk together brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg and a pinch of salt. Melt butter in lg skillet, over med-high heat. Stir in brown sugar mix. Place diced apples in skillet. Pour the apple cider over everything in the pan.

Step 3Reduce heat to medium, cover skillet and cook until apples are tender. Place pan w/ chops, under the broiler and cook for about 3-5 mins or until no longer pink inside. With a slotted spoon, remove apples from skillet and place on top of chops. Continue cooking sauce until it thickens. Pour sauce over chops and apples and serve hot.
