This super easy pizza is probably one of the most traditional of the Italian style pizzas. It was most likely one of the first pizzas ever made. It's incredibly tasty and very easy to make. It's minimal ingredients really let the flavor shine through.

Ingredients
- 1 can refrigerated pizza crust dough
- 1 can tomatoes, canned italian-style and diced, 14.5 oz. drained
- To taste - salt and pepper
- 1 - ball mozzerella cheese, sliced
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- To garnish - fresh basil leaves
- - cornmeal to dust cooking surface
How To Make pizza margherita

Step 1Preheat oven to 500 degrees. Coat pan or pizza stone with a dusting of cornmeal to avoid sticking. Roll dough out to desired thinness.

Step 2Place dough in oven and cook 8 minutes, this keeps the crust from getting soggy.

Step 3Spread the drained tomatoes evenly across the dough. Season with salt and pepper. Top with mozzarella slices.

Step 4Bake for 10 minutes until the cheese is bubbling and beginning to brown.

Step 5Drizzle with the oil and garnish with torn basil leaves.
