My dad taught me how to make a subtle yet delicious tomato cream sauce for pasta. You can use any pasta, I like it with ziti.

olive oil, extra virgin
14.5 oz can italian-style diced tomatoes, undrained
each, salt and pepper
ziti pasta or other pasta
How To Make
Cook pasta as directed and drain. return to pot. In saucepan, saute onion and garlic in oil over medium heat.
Add tomatoes, basil, sugar, oregano, salt and pepper. Bring to a boil. Boil gently for 15 mins.. Remove from heat. Stir in light cream and butter.
Pour sauce over pasta, toss to coat evenly.
