I made this as easy as possible w/ jarred marinara sauce and made it healthy by using turkey sausage. It tastes like it took hours to make, but doesn't really take all that long!

Ingredients For sherry's easy, healthy lasagna

    lasagna noodles
  • 1 lb
    bulk italian-style hot turkey sausages
  • 4 c
    reduced-fat, shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1
    15 oz conatiner part-skim ricotta cheese
  • 1/3 c
    grated parmesan cheese
  • 1 lg
  • 1/2 tsp
    dried basil
  • 1/2 tsp
  • 2
    28 oz jars prego marinara sauce

How To Make sherry's easy, healthy lasagna

    Heat oven to 375. Spray a 9 " x 13" baking pan w/ cooking spray. Cook lasagna noodles as directed, drain and cool.

    In lg skillet, cook sausages over med-high heat, until no longer pink, breaking up sausage as you cook. set aside in a lg bowl to cool. Add 3 cups mozzarella cheese, ricotta cheese, and parmesan cheese. Add the egg, basil and pepper. Mix well.

    Spread 1 cup sauce into bottom of pan. Place 3 noodles over sauce. Spread 1/3 of the cheese mix over noodles. Pour 1 cup sauce over cheese mix. Place 3 noodles over sauce. repeat layers. Spoon remaining sauce over noodles. Cover tightly w/ foil and bake 1 hr. remove foil and sprinkle lasagna w/ remaining mozzarella cheese. Bake until cheese melts, about 5 mins.
