orecchiette with sausage and broccoli
This is a lite and delicious one pot, all in one dinner that will blow your mind. Totally different. You could use turkey sausage to lighten things up a bit more. Don't let the lemon juice fool you. You wont to taste it but you taste how it brightens things up. I hope you enjoy fixing it as much as I did, please enjoy.

Ingredients
- 1 pound sweet italian sausage (in casing)
- 1 medium onion (diced)
- 3 large cloves garlic (minced)
- 1/8 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- 4 cups chicken broth
- 12 ounces orecchiette pasta (dry)
- 2-3 cups chopped broccoli (fresh not frozen)
- 4 tablespoons fresh grated parmesan
- 2 teaspoons lemon juice
- 1-1/2 cup cherry tomatoes (quartered)
- 1/2 teaspoon basil, dried
- Extra - grated parmesan cheese for topping
How To Make orecchiette with sausage and broccoli

Step 1Coat a large deep non stick pan with nonstick spray;heat over medium high. Add sausage and cook, turning half way, for 8 min. Remove sausage, and chop into bite size pieces. (Do not drain pan)

Step 2Add onions, stirring, until soft, 5-8 min. Add garlic and red pepper flake, stir and cook for 1 min. Add broth, bring to an oil over high heat. Add pasta and cook for 8-9 min till pasta is al dente. Reduce heat to medium add broccoli and cook for 4 min covered.

Step 3Stir in chopped sausage, tomatoes, Parmesan cheese and lemon juice, basil, and stir

Step 4Serve with a topping of fresh grated Parmesan cheese. -enjoy-
