Lasagna like NO OTHER!

I love pasta and lasagna and I have tried many, many ways to do lasagna that doesn't fall apart and captures those incredible Italian flavors. Here is my version that I think is the best, like NO OTHER!

2 lb
ground beef
1 large
6 oz
tomato paste
2 Tbsp
granulated garlic or garlic powder
3 clove
garlic, chopped
28 oz
canned, crushed tomatoes
28 oz
tomatoes, canned italian-style and diced
1 Tbsp
chopped basil (garden gourmet)
1 Tbsp
chopped italian seasoning (garden gourmet)
2 Tbsp
granulated sugar
salt/pepper to taste


1/2 stick
1/4 c
all purpose flour
1 c
2 lb
ricotta cheese
1 Tbsp
granulated garlic
1 Tbsp
dried basil
2 clove
garlic, chopped
1/2 c
parmesan cheese, grated
salt/pepper to taste


2 lb
lasagna noodles, cooked
2 lb
mozzarella cheese, shredded
2 c
parmesan cheese, grated

How to Make Lasagna like NO OTHER!


  • 1Brown ground beef. Salt and pepper to taste and add one tablespoon of granulated garlic. Drain meat if necessary.
  • 2Add onions and chopped garlic. Cook for a couple minutes.
  • 3Add tomato paste, mix into meat and onion mixture. Cook for a minute then add one can tomato paste can full of water and mix.
  • 4Add fresh basil, Italian seasoning, and sugar. Stir
  • 5At this point to you may need to add about 14 ounces of water. Also you may want to add more sugar and salt/pepper to taste. Tomatoes will vary and more seasonings may be necessary.
  • 6Simmer for an hour until reduced and thickened.
    Melt butter in a sauce pan
  • 8Add flour and cook for two minutes
  • 9Add milk and whisk together. Bring milk up to temperature.
  • 10Add ricotta cheese and whisk.
    Cook noodles to the point of being pliable yet still firm.
  • 12Lay noodles in pan, you may have to cut to fit your pan. If so, alternate the end where you put cut noodles.
  • 13Spoon ricotta cheese mixture over noodles and spread evenly.
  • 14Sprinkle with mozzarella cheese and Parmesan cheese. Repeat this step, I can usually fit three layers.
  • 15When you get to the top be generous with the mozzarella cheese.
  • 16Bake at 350 for approximately one hour.
