I learned this recipe by watching my nieces landlady prepare it, she’s from Poland. For such basic ingredients this dish is delicious. It comfort food at its best, and very inexpensive. You can add bacon if you’d like or rotisserie chicken, it’s totally up to you.

Ingredients
- 1 medium head of cabbage shredded
- 1 medium yellow onion
- 1 clove garlic
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 pinch fresh cracked black pepper
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1 bag of noodles of chouce
How To Make haluski

Step 1Shred the cabbage to half inch width, (this will allow it to keep its shape). Wash, and drain set aside.

Step 2Slice the onions, and mince the Clive of Garlic. Set aside.

Step 3In a saucepan over medium heat melt the butter and add the oil, bring up to heat then add the onion. Make sure to coat the slices well and cook until the edges are a light golden, then add the garlic combine well. Then add the cabbage, combine well season with salt and pepper and cook until translucent, 10-15 mins, Remove from heat

Step 4Bring a pot of water to a boil, salt the water well then add the noodles.

Step 5When the noodles are done, drain the water then add the Haluski to the hot noodles, over medium heat add a couple of pats of butter correct seasoning. Serve and enjoy
