How to Make Alfredo Sauce - quick and easy
- Heat butter in small sauce pan over medium low heat until melted, add flour and stir to cook flour, making a roux.
- Add half and half, whole milk or combination of the two. Cook over medium low heat, stirring constantly until it starts to thicken slightly.
- Add grated parmesan and continue to cook and stir until cheese is melted in and sauce is thickened to your preference.
- Serve over prepared pasta, with or without chicken, shrimp or other protein. Nice also with chopped fresh tomatoes or even sun dried tomatoes or other garnishes.
