How to Make Alfredo Sauce - quick and easy
1Heat butter in small sauce pan over medium low heat until melted, add flour and stir to cook flour, making a roux.
2Add half and half, whole milk or combination of the two. Cook over medium low heat, stirring constantly until it starts to thicken slightly.
3Add grated parmesan and continue to cook and stir until cheese is melted in and sauce is thickened to your preference.
4Serve over prepared pasta, with or without chicken, shrimp or other protein. Nice also with chopped fresh tomatoes or even sun dried tomatoes or other garnishes.
