Ingredients
- 2 cups lentils, cooked and cooled
- 1 - egg
- 1/2 cup cracker crumbs
- 1 small onion, minced
- - tomato juice
- - salt and pepper, to taste
- - olive oil for frying
How To Make lentil burgers

Step 1Cook lentils ahead of time, following package instructions. Make sure they're nice and soft, but not mushy. Cool to room temperature.

Step 2In a large mixing bowl combine lentils with egg, crumbs, onion, salt and pepper.

Step 3Use just enough tomato juice to make the mixture hold together when formed into patties. Divide the mixture into six even portions, and shape into patties.

Step 4Fry the patties, just like hamburgers, in a small amount of olive oil (or whatever you prefer).

Step 5Serve on buns and pass the ketchup!
