hummus pita sandwich

Basic yummy sandwich that is good for packing on the run (no meat or mayo to spoil). You could easily add fresh or dried herbs, such as basil, to liven it up. I often make this without the green onion.

Ingredients

  • 1 - soft pita (i prefer papa pita brand from costco)
  • Some - athenos brand hummus
  • Some - purple cabbage shreds
  • Some - sliced tomato
  • Some - green onion, or other fresh or dried herbs (optional)

How To Make hummus pita sandwich

  • Step 1
    Place pita on plate. :) (Wanted to be able to show you a picture of the brand of pitas I like.)
  • Step 2
    Spread pita with a thick layer of hummus over whole pita.
  • Step 3
    Place veggies & herbs, if using, on half the pita.
  • Step 4
    Fold in half. Done.
