manboys meatloaf
This is Just how I've always made. I don't like the 3 meat mix .. the veal I can handle but not a fan with the pork added in. My kids were the same way. The manboys aka son's would request meatloaf time to time..And my dad "shhh don't tell your mother I like it better" Just good ol comfort food. And there's just something about guys and meatloaf. Haven't met one that didn't ask for it at some point lol

Ingredients
- 1 1/4 pounds ground beef
- 1/2 cup oatmeal
- 1/2 cup bread crumbs, seasoned
- 1 egg
- 1/4-1/3 cup milk
- 2x2(4total tablespoons tomato paste
- 1 small can tomato sauce
- 1 teaspoon thyme, dried
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1/2 teaspoon rosemary, dried
- salt and pepper
- 2 cloves garlic minced fine
- 2 tablespoons vinegar
- 3-4 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon worcestershire sauce
- 3-5 shakes hot sauce
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- salt and pepper
- 1 med onion diced
- 1/2 green pepper diced
How To Make manboys meatloaf

Step 1In bowl beat egg with 1/4c milk, 2tbsp tomato paste Rosemary garlic Cumin Thyme Diced onion and green pepper

Step 2To egg mixture add oatmeal and bread crumbs. You want it slightly loose and not dry . If to dry add the rest of the milk.. Mix well

Step 3Add beef to mixture and mix well. I use my hands and squish and kneed.

Step 4Once well mixed place into a loaf pan and press firmly .. pat flat and then push the edges around the pan down just a bit. This is so grease won't collect on top.

Step 5Mix 2 tbsp of tomato paste Tomato sauce Worcestershire sauce Hot sauce .vinegar Brown sugar Garlic powder Salt and pepper to taste Set aside

Step 6Bake loaf in 375° oven for 15 minutes.

Step 7Remove from oven and pour half of sauce and place back in oven for 30 minutes

Step 8Remove from oven and pour remaining sauce and return to cook for 15 more minutes

Step 9Remove from oven and allow to rest for 10-15 minutes Enjoy!
