Not your average chili! Not only is this a healthy version, it is super-packed with sweet and hot flavors, so much that you won't even tell that it is "healthy"! Definitely an up-scale chili. :)

Ingredients For it's never too chili for love!

  • 2 Tbsp
    coconut oil
  • 1 lb
    turkey sausage (casings removed)
  • 1 lb
    ground turkey
  • 1
    orange bell pepper, medium size
  • 1
    small yellow onion, diced
  • 5
    scallion stalks, diced
  • 1 can
    chili beans, no sodium or low sodium (14.5 oz)
  • 2 can
    diced tomatoes, no sodium or low sodium (14.5 oz each)
  • 2 Tbsp
    salt
  • 2 Tbsp
    chili powder
  • 1 1/2 Tbsp
    cumin
  • 1 Tbsp
    pepper
  • 1 Tbsp
    curry powder
  • 1 Tbsp
    onion powder
  • 1 Tbsp
    garlic powder
  • 1 Tbsp
    paprika
  • 1/4 tsp
    red pepper flakes (or more if you like it very spicy)
  • 1/4 c
    brown sugar
  • 1/2 c
    sweet red wine

How To Make it's never too chili for love!

    In dutch oven or large pot, melt coconut oil. Add meat. Brown over medium-high heat for about 7 minutes, stirring often.

    Add bell pepper and scallions. Stir and continue over medium-high heat for 7 minutes.

    Add all spices. Stir and continue on medium-high heat for about 5 minutes.

    Add tomatoes and beans (no need to drain cans), and wine. Stir. Lower heat and cover pot. Let this simmer for 40 minutes, stirring every 10 minutes.
