Not your average chili! Not only is this a healthy version, it is super-packed with sweet and hot flavors, so much that you won't even tell that it is "healthy"! Definitely an up-scale chili. :)

coconut oil
1 lb
turkey sausage (casings removed)
1 lb
ground turkey
orange bell pepper, medium size
small yellow onion, diced
scallion stalks, diced
1 can(s)
chili beans, no sodium or low sodium (14.5 oz)
2 can(s)
diced tomatoes, no sodium or low sodium (14.5 oz each)
2 Tbsp
2 Tbsp
chili powder
1 1/2 Tbsp
1 Tbsp
1 Tbsp
curry powder
1 Tbsp
onion powder
1 Tbsp
garlic powder
1 Tbsp
1/4 tsp
red pepper flakes (or more if you like it very spicy)
1/4 c
brown sugar
1/2 c
sweet red wine

How to Make It's never too CHILI for love!


  • 1In dutch oven or large pot, melt coconut oil. Add meat. Brown over medium-high heat for about 7 minutes, stirring often.
  • 2Add bell pepper and scallions. Stir and continue over medium-high heat for 7 minutes.
  • 3Add all spices. Stir and continue on medium-high heat for about 5 minutes.
  • 4Add tomatoes and beans (no need to drain cans), and wine. Stir. Lower heat and cover pot. Let this simmer for 40 minutes, stirring every 10 minutes.
  • 5Taste and adjust spicing to your liking. Enjoy!
