Ingredients

  • 1/3 cup whole wheat flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 6 - boneless pork loin chops
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 cups sliced fresh mushrooms
  • 1/3 cup chopped vidalia onion
  • 2 - strips turkey bacon copped
  • 1 cup marsala wine
  • 1/4 teaspoon minced garlic
  • 5 teaspoons cornstarch
  • 2/3 cup chicken broth (low salt if desired)

How To Make pork marsala (low carb)

  • Step 1
Mix flour and pepper together. Dip chops in flour mixture to coat both sides. In a large skillet, heat oil over medium heat. Add pork chops; cook 4 to 5 minutes on each side. Remove from pan and keep warm. In same skillet, add mushrooms, onion and turkey bacon to drippings; cook and stir until mushrooms are tender, 3 or 4 minutes, add garlic and cook for 1 minute. Add wine; cook, stirrings to loosed browned bits. In a small bowl, mix cornstarch and broth until smooth; add to pan and bring to a boil; cook and stir a couple of minutes or until slightly thickened. Return pork chops to pan a couple of minutes, just until heated again and serve. This is only 7 carbs per chop.
