It just occurred to me that I didn't have my good ole standby pork roast recipe posted, so while I was making it today I thought I would add it.

Ingredients

  • 1 - pork loin, boneless
  • 1 medium leek, washed and sliced, white and light green parts only
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon parsley flakes
  • 1/2 teaspoon sage, dried
  • 1/8 teaspoon rosemary, dried
  • 1/8 teaspoon thyme, dried
  • 1 1/2 cups chicken bouillon or broth

How To Make ellen's slow-cooker roast pork loin

  • Step 1
    In a bowl, mix together salt, pepper, garlic powder, parsley, sage, rosemary, and thyme until well blended.
  • Step 2
    Rub mixture over pork loin, covering all sides. Place pork into a greased slow cooker. Add the chicken broth and cover.
  • Step 3
    Cook on LOW setting for five hours or until pork is fork-tender. May add vegetables such as potatoes and carrots or onions the last couple of hours if desired.
