creamy skillet cabbage with bacon
This dish is interesting and unique, a new way to use cabbage and bacon, two of my food faves. Also very little prep time and you don't have to heat up the kitchen by using the oven. Awesome! Recipe & photo: kraftrecipes.com 02-10-15

Ingredients
- 1/2 cup zesty italian dressing
- 6 slices bacon, chopped
- 1 medium onion, chopped (about 1 cup)
- 8 cups shredded green cabbage (1 small head)
- 2 cups shredded red cabbage
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1/2 cup dry roasted peanuts, coarsely chopped
How To Make creamy skillet cabbage with bacon

Step 1In a large skillet heat dressing over medium-high heat. Add bacon and onion; stir. Cook 5 to 7 minutes or until bacon is cooked and onions are tender, stirring occasionally.

Step 2Add cabbage and broth; stir. Cook 10 minutes or until cabbage is wilted, stirring occasionally. Remove from heat.

Step 3Stir in sour cream and top with peanuts. NOTE: I would reheat after adding sour cream, before adding peanuts.
