This is a great recipe to celebrate the up coming Chinese New Year January 31.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound boneless pork, cut in strips or cubs
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil, extra virgin
  • 1 -15 ounce can chunk pineapple
  • 1/2 cup dark karo syruo or sorghum molasses
  • 1/4 cup vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons ketchup
  • 3 or 4 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1/2 cup sweet green peppers

How To Make chinese dinner ( sweet and sour pork )

  • Step 1
    Heat oil in skillet. Dredge pork in flour. Brown in skillet. Finish pork in 350 degree oven until done, but not over done.
  • Step 2
    Mix all ingredients and bring to a boil, about 10 minutes.
  • Step 3
    Mix cornstarch with a little water. Add to mixture, bring to a boil in 2 cups water.
  • Step 4
    Add 1 cup rice cover turn heat to low, cook 20 minutes.
  • Step 5
    Serve the sweet and sour sauce and pork over stir-fry vegetables.
